Pain Free Zone

We can finally say that pain-free dentistry is here. A number of advances have made Cashion and Cody the NO Pain Zone.
The Waterlase is the ONLY laser in the world that is FDA approved for safety and effectiveness for gums, bone and teeth. Dr. Cashion and Dr. Cody began their dental careers studying Micro-Dentistry. The idea is to make the smallest hole necessary leaving as much healthy tooth as possible. This is where lasers fit right in.
We also use a piece of equipment called air abrasion. There is no need for shots or needles when air abrasion is used for a cavity. The drill vibrates the tooth so much that it causes pain. Air abrasion is a stream of air and sand that literally blows the cavity right out of the tooth.
For Deep Cleanings (also called Scaling and Root planing) a liquid numbing gel called Oraqix, is placed under the gums with no needles. The gums and tooth get numb instantly! This is a great advancement.

But if it ends up you have to get a shot, we have figured out some fantastic techniques.
A few years ago, we met a compounding pharmacist and we developed a very strong numbing cream. It really numbs the skin in the mouth.

The newest trick is the addition of the DentalVibe.
